Wood Block Print Yellow Gold and Diamond Button Earrings

The Story

Among the designs in our Japanese flower collection, these lovely, small-scale button diamond earrings are one of our favorite pairs. Their balanced, symmetrical design was inspired by woodblock prints used in Japan. We reimagined the flowers of those ancient works of art in three dimensions—the result was a shape that pops with subtle lines and soft, elegant curves. 

This pair of bezel-set diamond studs was designed to have a carved quality, indented at the seams so each petal’s shape can be easily distinguished. Carved from one solid piece of gold, these earrings were created using a combination of CAD and time-honored jewelry making techniques. When we combine these very different methodologies, we can achieve both style and precision. That’s the craftsmanship and attention to detail that our clients have come to expect from our fine jewelry collections.
