There are a lot of great neighborhoods in and around Chicago. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but as a long-time Chicagoan (yes, we’re in Evanston but I consider myself a Chicagoan as well and a Chicago jeweler). So many of them have interesting shopping areas and there is a plethora of independent retail stores. I think each has its own character. As a jewelry designer, I draw on the city for inspiration. Some of my recent collections more directly, such as Art Deco Redux, which takes some of the Art Deco movement’s geometric modern approach to architecture and reimagines it in the form of necklaces, pendants and earrings. A cosmopolitan city, many of our Chicago customers are as diverse as its neighborhoods.

As part of this diverse community, we have a bit of a niche. Our full working jewelry studio is located just north of Chicago in Evanston. We actually create each piece here, giving us the combination of skills and artistry that Chicago has to offer in its jewelry stores. We can take a sketch and turn it into one of a kind engagement ring right in our studio. Goldsmith, gemologists and jewelry designers under one roof with Chicago at our doorstep. Our clients come here because they appreciate custom pieces and the fact that we don’t take ourselves too seriously (much like Chicagoans). We do good work, we love what we do and it’s that simple. I like to think that it directly relates to the spirit of Chicago – innovative, curious, artistic and down to earth.
