Obsessed with Design
I was lucky enough to find my passion for design at an early age. Sometime in my teenage years I began to work with metal and jewelry and liked it so much I would break into the High School Art Studio at night to work on my pieces. When I started college I went straight into jewelry design and I have been there ever since. I was very fortunate to have professors who became mentors and guided me in the right direction. Many decades later the flame of my obsession still burns, and it is my great pleasure to design and create fine jewelry for and with my clients and collaborators.
When successful, fine jewelry speaks a special language. Each person experiences jewelry differently, and the pleasure or meaning that they receive is a secret message that only they can understand.
One of My Favorite Collections
Cities and Lights has a special place in my heart. I have created a number of collections of jewelry over the years, and many of them are memorable. Cities and Lights stands out to me as an artistic endeavor that captured my imagination in a time and place. Having seen many places in the world and the amazing accomplishments of architecture and engineering that are iconic symbols of the major cities they represent, I imagined these structures in a new light. My goal was to distill the energy of skyscrapers and landmarks into fine jewelry that captured the memory of these things while transforming the scale into tiny talismans that could be worn and held in hand. Each object represents a different time and place for each person, and these are tangible feelings that add meaning and importance that goes beyond simple adornment. That was my goal in creating this collection and I hope you find them as much objects of memory as objects of delight.
My passion is creating new designs that stand the test of time and elevate raw materials to create unique works of art.
Every time I am presented with an unusual or unexpected design challenge I get excited. One of my greatest joys is to create, and creation is always fresh and exciting when the challenge is always different.
