Spessartite Garnet Dragon Scale Ring

The Story

The crown jewel of this-dragon inspired ring is a unique and uncommon variety of garnet called spessartite. Usually from Africa, this bright orange gemstone is highly sought after and very well regarded in terms of its collectibility. This particular stone is even more unique due to its inclusion pattern, which creates a hurricane effect with the movement of light. We decided to design a piece that augmented the fiery quality of the garnet—so we set the centerstone with functional and decorative talon-like prongs and created our signature dragon skin for the band. The delicate relief texture of the scales breaks up the light, reflecting glossy gold to complete a luminous and luxurious look.
