Pantone Fall Trends of 2016 – 70’s Inspired Jewelry and Pearl Jewelry Trends
Fashion week has just ended in New York and our style council has passed some new declarations that will surely be the guide for all fashionistas and urban hipsters for this season. Here’s the lowdown in case you missed it…
One of the major determinations made each fashion week are the new colors of the season, for Fall 2016 it looks like the world is leaning to muted jewel tones reminiscent of the color palette of the 70s.
Stepping back a bit from neon brights of summer, these more earthy inspired colors look beautiful on skin tones of every type and offer a bit more freedom in terms of day-to-night fashion. Shoulder dusting earrings, layered necklaces, and chunky pearls combined with a cozy sweater is the epitome of what people will be wearing this season, and we just so happen to have a few pieces that will fit perfectly in your fall wardrobe.

Rock Those Pearls
You can exaggerate this layered styling even more with big pearls. Throughout history, pearls have always been a standout when it comes to femininity and beauty, but the stylistic approach to pearls has changed somewhat. Step away from the simple strand and let your wild side out this season with pearls of staggered sizes, and even shapes, to create a piece both dynamic and graceful to bring out the soft curves of your neckline and collar bones.
If necklaces aren’t your thing, have no fear, big shoulder dusting earrings are also hot this fall. Regardless of your outfit, a bold pair of earrings will carry you from morning to midnight.
Be the Trendsetter…
Of course, we believe that jewelry represents your style more than any fashion trend ever could. You can restyle an existing piece or come up with a new design. Often we have our clients come in with a concept and after a session with one of our designers the concept starts to take shape. The inspiration may be taken from an existing trend and transform in a truly unique piece using an existing gemstone. Inspiration can even come from an old photograph where a timeless piece of jewelry long forgotten can be reborn. In the end, truly custom jewelry follows fashion’s best practices–rocking the style in your own way.
