Amethyst; The February Birthstone

Amethyst is the birthstone of February. If you happen to be celebrating your birthday this month and you subscribe to ancient greek mythology, try putting your birthstone in your wine glass (don’t swallow) and the power of that amethyst is believed to ward off the intoxicating power of Bachus! Otherwise just wear it, because according to those who predict these things, Amethyst will be the “hot” color of 2014.
