Flowing Lines Engagement Rings, Bespoke Jewelry Inspired by Nature

This Collection Evolved from Traditional Jewelry Making

Our latest collection of engagement rings were created as a combination of new and classic designs. We have combined some of our signature vintage styles with some recent styles to create a collection that encompasses traditional jewelry making techniques with artistry and craftsmanship. It is a collection that goes back to the beginning of my career in metalsmithing and one that will continue to evolve.

Back in the Day…

Back in the day, before the internet, computer-aided design, and 3D printing, every aspect of jewelry making was by hand and we used mostly traditional tools. Making curves was a lot easier than making straight lines. Not that we couldn’t make a perfect square but a soft intuitive and graceful line seemed so much more fun and creative. Besides, curves were “in,” and that was the style of the moment.

Designing Engagement Rings Around Nature and the Human Form

Nature inspired so many art movements of the past because we have a connection that draws us to it. The tendrils of a vine, the sweep of clouds in the sky or the patterns of water flowing in a stream, all display curvilinear patterns. Patterns in nature are often pure expressions of curvilinear design as are we ourselves. There are no straight lines on the human body, which is why curvilinear jewelry designs can look so beautiful and are so compelling. Long, languishing lines wrapped around the body evoke a softer gentler time and harken back to nature.
