Jewelry Making Process

At Christopher Duquet fine jewelry design we create pieces unique to your individual style. Each piece is hand-crafted with exquisite care.

Custom design concepts are sketched on paper until a final drawing is approved. Depending on the nature of the design, we then begin a CAD drawing and illustration which can be e-mailed directly to the customer for review and approval. Estimates are confirmed, and upon approval, a wax model is made.

The model is exactly to size and scale of the finished piece. Customers have the opportunity to see the model for approval and/or changes before going to the next step, which is to cast the model in precious metal. If the project is a ring, then a fitting is the last step to be sure everything is perfect before going to the completion of the piece.
